Role-playing and Fantasy
Since the dawn of time people
have always longed for something special. Another life among the
stars, more money, better job, anything what the heart could
desire. This is but a dream but for me the dream is somewhat vivid due
to possibilities of books and games. I live out my fantasy dreams
through role playing characters in the traditional Dungeons and Dragons way
along with from time to time writing short stories.
The passion for stories
has stayed with me since the mid eighties where I first came across
Dungeons and Dragons basic and expert box set. Then I discovered the realm
of Krynn where novels were release by Tracy Rhye Hickman and Margaret
Weis. This opened up a new part of me and I have since loved medieval
fantasy novels and games.
Basically I will try to
add whatever information I make and gather regarding the adventures I take
part in while also developing my own realms. At first I had decided to add
a blog where I could update frequently but later on decided to go with a
forum. This forum can be located at http://www.grafica.dk/forum
Be sure to drop by. I
apologize that some of it is in Danish. But I will strive to make most in English.
Another issue is login procedure. It has been made mandatorily to login at
the forum - reason for this is people have spammed the public threads.
As for the game session
I am in, I am currently playing not playing, however I am more use to
playing the role of Game master, which I have been doing mostly over the
last 25years. However the hunger for role playing characters has not subsided
and the change of system from DnD 3.5 to 4E have given me the chance to get
into character again. However since playing a character does not require a
huge amount of planning, then I normally end up doing other stuff, like
restart story writing or game world creations. Only time will tell.
The latest that has
gotten my attention is Warmachine and Hordes, a
miniature board game. I have chosen the faction: Trollbloods.
Check out my images of the army as I get more and more done Trollblood army
Along with continuing
playing role-play games for the last 20 some years I have also committed a
lot of time to reading the different fantasy novels out there. There are
way too many to note here but some of what I have read are authors well
know like RA Salvatore, Trudi Canavan, Larry Elmore, Robert Jorden, George
Raymond Richard Martin and of course JRR Tolkien.
